Re: Just updated to 8, now won't start can't find msvcr100.d
Another machine, another problem.
After the update and addon check I get a window with the following:
XML-tolkningsfel: odefinierad entitet
Adress: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Radnummer 228, Kolumn 5: <key id="key_search2" key="&searchFocus.commandkey2;" command="Tools:Search" modifiers="accel"/>
----^
When I close the window, it comes up again when I try to start palemoon.
Thanks

There was a packaging error - this was caused by the Mozilla code still linking to the Microsoft Runtime libraries, while they should no longer be needed. This has been updated now. Please download the installer and install again to have everything available.
As for your XML error, please make sure you are not using incompatible add-ons.

Re: Just updated to 8, now won't start can't find msvcr100.d
First issue solved. Thanks
XML issue still there!
All installed addons did work with ver. 7. I noticed that the language pack 7, of course needs to be updated.
Is there a way to start Palemoon with addons disabled?
Thanks

Okay
For your question to start with add-ons disabled: start Pale Moon in safe mode
Either from the Start menu in Windows, or by using the run command or command prompt:

Re: Just updated to 8, now won't start can't find msvcr100.d
Thank you for the answer
The reason I asked is that I can't see any program group for Palemoon, only a single icon.
I was expecting one more icon to start Palemoon in Safe Mode.
Maybe I can ask for this feature in the coming installation?
Thanks

Actually, there's an easier way.
Start Pale Moon while holding your SHIFT key pressed down, it will call up the safe mode start dialog.
