In PM31.0.0 the tabbar too high

Unread post by lashkevi » 2022-05-12, 12:51

In PM31.0.0 the tabbar became too high (approx 1.5 times higher than before) because of the new "Close All Tabs" button on its right side (see the attachment).

(Linux, PM 31.0.0, 64-bit gtk2, with Tab Mix Plus addon)

Thanks. But I guess it demands a more permanent solution.

Of course you are right, but that will have to be done by the extension developer, most likely.
Next version of Pale Moon will have one potential issue for extensions resolved, by providing a compatibility indicator, so if that's the problem here it will be solved. Otherwise it'll just need an extension update of some sort.

Is that something in addition to the blue/orange dots (good to have those back) in the addon manager?

No, it'll just be reinstating the global variable "gMultiprocessBrowser" which extensions might be checking to determine whether to jump through hoops for e10s or not. It won't be user-exposed or user-configurable.

Many thanks for taking the time to do that. I think TMP is a very popular extension, so I'm sure all those that use it will be very grateful for your work.:)
