palemoon.exe detected as ransomeware by MBAM
I'm using Pale Moon portable. This happened when I'm trying to load youtube. The site is very unresponsive and this time palemoon.exe is just crashed and MBAM tells me it quarantined palemoon.exe:

So whitelist palemoon.exe in MBAM. There are a million threads here about Youtube already, including suggestions for fixing slowness up to a point because eventually Google owned services are designed to work with Google developed browser engines.

No. I wanted to know what palemoon.exe is trying to do that caused MBAM to think it's ransomeware.
Install mutube or utube from RealityRipple, this really helps. I prefer mutube, though.

Two things: One, we know there have been a succession of false positives from anti-software packages. Ignore them. Two, please do NOT hotlink images to forum posts. If an image is relevant then attach it.

Haven't you ever heard of false positives?gnguyen9173 wrote: ↑2021-12-02, 16:15No. I wanted to know what palemoon.exe is trying to do that caused MBAM to think it's ransomeware.

Frankly speaking, I really think there is something fishy on palemoon.exe, or at least the winPenpack launcher your portable Pale Moon is based on. The world all use PortableApps as the platform, including Firefox, but you choose your own way, only to show people that you are different.ron_1 wrote: ↑2021-12-02, 20:03Haven't you ever heard of false positives?gnguyen9173 wrote: ↑2021-12-02, 16:15No. I wanted to know what palemoon.exe is trying to do that caused MBAM to think it's ransomeware.

Oh of course. By your omniscience you have determined that as the only possible reason there must be for it. You know what, just get going and stick to FIrefox or Chrome. I can already see the snark rising among all your other posts. While you're at it, go to the sub reddit with the other cunts there and complain about how mean Moonchild and Tobin are.
