Close all tabs in window

Unread post by pbpbpb » 2021-05-22, 20:58

Is there a simple mechanism to close all tabs in a window? (Perhaps obviously, this is only useful if one has the 'close the window when the last tab is closed' checkbox unchecked.) In old firefox, I found the 'close all tabs' extension quite useful in providing a single button on the tab bar to do just that.

Thanks.

There's no 1-click solution for what you want, but there are 2 options:
  1. You can right-click the left-most tab and select "Close all tabs to the right" followed by closing the single tab you are left with.
  2. You can open a new window, then close the previous one.

IIRC, the Tab Mix Plus extension can add Close All to the Left, Close All to the Right, Close All Other and Close All options to the context menu.

In general, if there's anything you want to do with tabs that's not available out of the box, look at Tab Mix Plus first.
