Works for me. Have you tried switching it off and on again?

Works for me also since I have a Hotmail email account which I just accessed my email when I first saw your post earlier.

At this time I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 29.0.1 running in 64 bit linux Mint 20.1 (Ulyssa) Xfce.

I tested both in my normal working setup and in a clean profile with no extension. Both work just fine.

Not sure what you are asking, but I'm on Windows, yes. Whether the cause is windows, I don't know. You haven't given any further details.

I have ran into the same problem now trying to go through Microsoft's SSO portal (https://login.microsoftonline.com/) and it seems to be a server-side or scripting error.

The message "Message: Browser doesn't support addEventListener or attachEvent" is incorrect.
login.live.com (to get to outlook which is what I tried) still works fine.
Not sure what they are doing but something is wrong on their end by the looks of it.

The message "Message: Browser doesn't support addEventListener or attachEvent" is incorrect.
login.live.com (to get to outlook which is what I tried) still works fine.
Not sure what they are doing but something is wrong on their end by the looks of it.
Operating system: windows
Browser version: latest 64-bit
Problem URL: https://login.microsoftonline.com/
Installed extensions: adlbock latitude

So, in the meantime no solution then?

No solution in the meantime. But if you need to use it -right now- then as a temporary measure you can use e.g. Edge for microsoft services.
I'm looking into this and have sent Microsoft a support request about it, too.

FWIW, I clicked on the link you provided, which took me to the Login prompts for my email and password and it takes me to Microsoft Office Online. From there I clicked on the Outlook icon and it took me to my Hotmail email account.

Edit: But I'm using linux as you already know.

Microsoft might treat Linux clients differently.
