I have been getting several bsod's using Pale Moon on my new Win7 pc. I saw a post regarding this, and switching from x64 to x32 was recommended. How do I "switch" from x64 to x32?

Just install the X32 version, the one that doesn't say X64, and done.
The X64 version will still be install, you can uninstall it manually.
Edit: Also, the browser shouldn't be conducting a BSOD, you might need to update your drivers to the latest version, unless you read up on them and find that the latest is the problem and have to revert back to an older version.
Other than that, you might need to do some maintenance on your PC to see what could cause the BSOD as well, virus perhaps?

Can you try with a clean profile?
Maybe disabling your plugins and extensions, I guess just go into safe mode.

Do a search for netio.sys, you will see multiple articles about this driver (apparently part of ZoneAlarm) causing BSODs. You will find proposed solutions and workarounds in the search results, although the simplest would probably be using a security software package that works.

If it's not ZA triggering it, it may be a remnant from a previously installed antivirus or firewall, use the appropriate uninstall tool to remove anything left behind - list here:
