Whenever I click on a hyperlink in an email (client = Outlook 2007) the link opens Firefox instead of Pale Moon. Also, when so activated the scroll where and back/forward buttons on the mouse do not work. Help???

Make sure Pale Moon is set as your default browser and not Firefox, this may also cure the mouse scrolling and back/forward anomaly.

BTW welcome to the forum. :)

Pale Moon is set as the default browser but when I open the default programs dialogue, several options are only available to Firefox. Is this correct?

No this is not correct - the easiest way around this would be to download the installer for Pale Moon and re-install "on top" of your existing installation (Upgrade to same version) so the proper registry entries are made for registered applications. you should then have the correct options for default programs.
