I've been using Pale Moon for a couple of months or so and it is great. However, every time I log in somewhere it prompts me to "remember password" and no matter how many times I click the box to never ask me again, it always pops up every time I go back to log in. It doesn't matter what site it is. For example, if I'm on GMail, when I log in it pops up with the dialog prompting me to remember the password. I check the option to never ask me again. Later on, when I go back to GMail to log in again, it pops up the same dialog.
I don't mind remembering some passwords, so I'd prefer not to disable it entirely through about:config or similar (if that's even possible). It's very, very annoying behavior though in an otherwise outstanding browser.
Thanks for the help!
Here's my specs:
Operating system: Windows 7
Browser version: 6.0.2
32-bit or 64-bit?: 32
Problem URL: Any
Theme: Default
Installed add-ons: AdBlock Plus, Amazon Wish List, Automatic Save Folder, Better GMail 2, Download Statusbar, Greasemonkey, Save Session
Always prompts to "remember password" even when told not to

Re: Always prompts to "remember password" even when told not
When the panel for saving a password pops up, are you making sure to use the drop-down to select "never remember password for this site"?
I don't see issues with the functionality you describe here, can't reproduce the problem.
You can also go to Options -> Security, and make sure the "remember passwords" checkbox is checked, and under "exceptions..." manually add the sites/domains you don't want to be prompted for storing a password on.

Re: Always prompts to "remember password" even when told not
I am not having any issues with Pale Moon v7.0.1 concerning "do not remember passwords" and never experienced the same problem with v6.0.1 either.
I'm using my Windows XP backup 32-bit computer since my "new" hard drive on my Windows 7 64-bit computer is dying and being replaced by HP since it's still under warranty so I had to load Pale Moon onto my back up computer. I have unchecked "do not remember passwords for sites" under Options, Security and Pale Moon hasn't asked for my password for any of the nineteen sites I'm a member of.
Even on my Windows 7 64-bit computer running Pale Moon v7.0.1, I never had the same problem you describe either since the "do not remember passwords for sites" is also unchecked.
You might want to upgrade to version (7.0.1).
OS: Windows XP 32-bit
Extensions: IE Tab V2, NoSquint (same extensions are on my Windows 7 64 bit computer)

Re: Always prompts to "remember password" even when told not
I have this problem, sometime, not every time
I'm using FF 9.0.1 also and it has this problem also, therefore I think it is the FF code that cause this.
