When I begin typing in the location bar of the Pale Moon browser an address of a porn site appears. How can I prevent/delete this.

When the site appears, move the focus with the arrow keys to the unwanted site and press the Delete key to remove it from history.

And use private browsing mode for porn next time onwards 8-)
It will only prevent the site from being saved to browsing history, not hide the fact that your computer made a connection to the site in question, so don't surf porn on a network you don't own.

Previous reply was of no help.

How was the previous reply "no help"?
Did you not manage to delete the entry as instructed, or did it reappear, or what exactly happens?
A screenshot would help as well as basic troubleshooting information (see the pinned post about what information to include when asking for support)

Did you follow this -
When the site appears, move the focus with the arrow keys to the unwanted site and press the Delete key to remove it from history.
There's also an extension called 'No History' in Classic Addons Archive, which will prevent the URLs in a list you specify from being added to the browser history.

Also use private browsing next time you don't want the browser to keep a record.

I don't know what you mean by focus. Offending site returns immediately after deleting.

Pale Moon message; "No History" incompatible with Pale Moon 28.8.0

Just highlight the entry with the mouse pointer or arrow keys, then press the delete key.

I just followed the instructions and deleted entries in the history. Type something in the address bar to make the unnwanted site pop up in the history and when it pops up among the history suggestions, either use the arrow keys on the keyboard to highlight the entry OR use the mouse to highlight the entry and hit the Delete key on the keyboard to remove it. I just did it myself with some history entries VIA typing in the address bar and it works fine.
