Loading of this completely new designed(:thumbdown:) newspaper homepage fails with high cpu usage
(same in safe mode with disabled add ons)

With this kind of shittily designed websites, it's best to first wait for it to load completely before doing anything. I gave it 5-8 seconds (depends on your PC) and then it seems to work normally, not that I understood anything there.

Wait for "Done" in the Status Bar, the Progress Meter isn't always accurate. It loaded faster with the ad-blocker enabled.

Right, I see it looks 'normal' in Edge while it seems to throw a mobile version at Pale Moon. I tried a different user agent (no Goanna) without success. See if the website has an option for a 'Desktop' version. If the problem is on their side, you should contact them and let them know.

Seems OK here in 28.6.0.1 with uB0 enabled and uMatrix disabled.

Then I'd like to know exactly what the problem with the browser supposedly is, if they are so sure.
We can't "fix" it if we don't know what the "problem" is. The web console remains completely empty, so there's no obvious errors to provide pointers. Instead, the main page just seems to overlay all graphics (at huge size) and text on top of each other -- that seems to me a page design flaw, not a browser problem.

It's not possible for me to write every webmaster out there with questions. It's up to users/community members to do this.
In addition, it's likely that in my case there will be a language barrier, too, as they are Austrian.

So why don't you write them, and let us know here what exactly the problem is, and we can investigate further if it's a coding issue or something else.

They do not any longer answer my emails.
They said in their only reply, that they cannot optimize their page for all browser and browser versions ...
and they orient themselves on browser popularity.
I cannot do anything else ...

Looks like they just a reader, then.
