We can not login anymore to textnow.com
I tried with my build portable and I tried with fresh build portable X64 Windows 10 Pro its the same there is something wrong with password/login combination
If I use MS Edge I can login without any trouble
This happens with FRESH portable build just used to login there, this is why I do not give any troubleshooting file you can see the same issue with any build

But all you get is a blank screen with nothing on it.

Since you didn't say anything about what does happen to you, all we can do is guess.

I get "Username/password did not match" message... but I can login with same password/login with Microsoft Edge

And I can't sign up - for whatever reason (regardless of browser)?

Whatever that is supposed to mean.
No clue as to the problem? Doesn't like my email? Doesn't like the password I've chosen? Problem on their end?

It just went through - having made no changes.
Lets see if I can log in...

Now I have no idea what the service is or anything else about it, but I did set up an account, & this is what I got upon logging in.
(And that's where I'll leave things.)
(steventext is my login that I created. You can text me, but I have no phone .)

Well, you've got me on that one.


First, turns out I was never logged out.
Then, it's a PITA to get logged out. Clearing cookies & authenticated sessions didn't do it.
So I simply removed all /storage/ & webappsstore.sqlite & that got me logged out.
(Don't know if both were needed or just what, but seemingly something between those two [& I'm not really sure what they do] was keeping me logged in.)

Then... could not log in in SeaMonkey or FF 66 or PM.
Each said, "Username/password did not match".

Tried an ancient version of Chrome, which wanted me to upgrade my browser (to Chrome or FF or Edge [hmm, nothing about I.E. ]), but had a "Continue Anyway" link, & that, in Chrome, did successfully log in.


A brand new PM Profile, same results, "Username/password did not match".


Got to figure simply a screwed up site on their end?
Contact them. They do have a telephone number to call - even if it not for "support", & see if they will give you some support.
(Don't tell them you're using PM, almost certainly won't want to talk, instead, just say "Firefox".)

So I asked for a password reset, & they sent me a link (to my email) to follow.
That link loads a page that says:

Create New Password

Create a new password for steventext0's
account

And now that I look, the email they sent says:

Recover your username and password

Your username is steventext0

The problem is, my username is NOT steventext0 - it is steventext.
(Or steventext@myemail.com.)


And the problem with that, is that I still cannot log in - in SeaMonkey or FF 66 or PM.

And now I have logged in - one time - in FF, using "steventext0" (no @myemail.com) as my login.

And a moment later, unable to repeat the login, as it no longer works.


(Whatever it is that these people do, I would not trust them.
I certainly would not use a password you've ever used elsewhere.)

Well I trust them but PM can not login and I dont know about FF or any other I just use Edge and it work may be PM can fix this.

Sorry to tell you that but you wrong.

I just installed fresh Firefox Portable build and I CAN LOGIN WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE to textnow with LAST Firefox portable build.

I stil CAN NOT login with Palemoon

And while I like to say they "fixed it", I can't, really.


Yes I've now (now, as in just now, not this morning) logged in a number of times, in both PM & FF.

I've logged in using both username@textnow.com & username0 (without @ textnow.com) & password.
So steventext@textnow.com & steventext0 & password (but not steventext0@textnow.com).
(The '0' is a construct of their doing. That it "works" is an anomaly, or bug you might say .)


BUT...

I'm still running into problems with both browsers - again.
As I am not seeing consistency in login.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
I am currently unable to log in, even though just a moment ago, I could - repeatedly.

They did not give me explanations but the problem is clearly on their side and not PM
