Re: Palemoon - intermittent shut down
The IntersectionObserver crashes have been resolved in the latest unstable version and should be included in the next point release. Toggling the dom.IntersectionObserver.enabled preference to false should tide you over in the meantime.

Sorry but you're mistaken.Nigaikaze wrote:The IntersectionObserver crashes have been resolved in the latest unstable version and should be included in the next point release.
The crashes have been resolved in the unstable, but the point release will not yet include these changes. The point release will disable the IntersectionObserver API by default to avoid crashing, and the fixes will be included in the next major update, considering the changes are a little too extensive to just uplift to the release branch with little further testing beyond verification of the fix. I'd just like this new API to bake a little longer before releasing to all users

Isengrim wrote:No, this is the current platform version. The install directory may say Pale Moon27" but the install itself is definitely up to date.
Oh ok, I see. Thank you for pointing it out.
Re: Palemoon - intermittent shut down
The install directory has to be maintained at 'pale moon27' to allow access through the domain server and AV - K7 has VERY strict rules, so at 100%, HTTPS would not be allowed...

auuuugh!!...
I was *almost* going to post at about 5pm, that it was *good*! ...
- 150 pages, lots of videos being saved, no 'net hogs' about, so good DL speed all yesterday night and today...
total DL about 4gig yesterday, 5gig today..
closed most windows and got some tea.. crashed at 3min past!!
20 mins later just starting this post.. crashed again!
Included the only differences between both crashes (41 lines ), if that helps..

Re: Palemoon - intermittent shut down
Your crash address is consistent in VP8YuvToRgb32_SSE41 this is 3rd party code, an SSE 4.1 optimized version of a video data converter. data conversion for WebP.
Without an actual minidump showing the various register values at the crash point nothing can be garnered from this, but it's possible either your CPU doesn't like this function very much, that it was corrupt video data, or that there is a bug in theVPX WebP library in use for decoding. We will incorporate an updated version of libwebp in 28.4 that has a bunch of stability fixes in it, so hopefully that will solve this.

RE your point about my CPU.. Its old, so **does not*** have the 'cpu bug' !!:)
Attached my CPUID listing, if you want to see any 'oddities'?? The ffmpeg ANT uses is still quite old, but... and there aren't that many video utils as good for multiple sites..
