Without some additional information, like is there an unusual problem, then we can only start with the basics. Have you looked here?

Look at your Preferences again, go to Privacy, and then the History Tab. Are you saving any history? If I change my settings to never remember history (in the drop down), then it grays out my selection to save passwords.

You mean that the option is disabled and you cannot change it? Have you perhaps installed a password manager program on your PC? It may be interfering with Pale Moon.

youre right. i had activated "never remebering history" and thats why it didnt work. it works well now. thx :)

by the way, nice to find a browser such as pale moon. im totally new to it. firefox recently took away feeds with live bookmarks and feeds with live bookmarkds is somethin i use daily. so i was surprised and a little bit sad to see that they stopped using feeds. ive tried som add on to get feeds with live bookmarks on firefox but none of them worked as i wanted to. then i discovered pale moon and that pale moon has feeds with live bookmarks. great. i hope pale moon continue with live feeds.

by the way, do you now any add on to firefox that have feeds with live bookmarks that works the same way firefox feeds worked?

thx for help.

Offhand, I can't think of anything for the live bookmarks feed. I don't use it. If you don't get help in this topic (about passwords) you should open a new separate topic Glad you got your passwords figured out.

There's Livemarks, but don't expect it to work nowhere near as good as what Pale Moon offers natively.

This may not be what you want to hear right now if you're already very busy setting up Pale Moon, but I strongly recommend KeePass instead of storing passwords in the browser (especially without a master password). There's a learning curve but it's well worth it. I delayed installing it for years but it's been bliss in the two years since I've had it running.

Some of the benefits of KeePass:
  • The same global hotkey will fill in your passwords whether you're using PM or another browser
  • Also fill in passwords for programs that require sign-in (Skype etc)
  • You can set up custom key sequences (user-tab-tab-password-etc) to handle different kinds of pages
  • Password file is easy to back-up
  • Password entries can have various fields, such as notes
  • Password entries have a 'history' in case you need to retrieve an old password
I wouldn't try to use an add-on to integrate with PM — the global hotkey is perfect.
especially without a master password
...because some utilities can retrieve and export all your passwords behind your back, e.g. nirsoft has things like that.

One might ask why seraniz added porn links to his post:
