Popup blocker blocking sites on the allow list

The Pale Moon built in popup blocker might be blocking popups from sites that I have added to the "allow" list.
One site where this is happening and where many of you might have an account (and therefore be able to see what I am talking about) is Gmail. I am trying to open an email in a window so that I can print it to a PDF. I do have mail.google.com in the list of sites for Pale Moon to allow popups on. The only thing that I can think of is that what pops up is a slightly different URL?

Disable the popup blocker (maybe even restart PM ?) & see if the issue persists.
(Hmm. Don't know if disabling it would clear any Exception list, but backup first, in case.)

Disabling does solve the problem. Probably can use a 3rd party pop up blocker.

So long as an exception is made for https://mail.google.com to allow popups, I can open a new window to print a message in gmail with no trouble.

If your problem disappears when native popup blocking is completely disabled, check if something is wrong with the entry in your exceptions list. It could just be down to a typo, or having an entry for http but not for https.

We do require separate entries for http and https versions of websites. This didn't used to be that way in older milestones but has been made a requirement now because of more strict URL checking internally.

Right now I am just keeping the popup blocker turned off, and nothing else in place to prevent pop ups. In my short experience, pop ups don't seem to be a big thing anymore.

Thank you for the suggestions about http vs https. That will be something to look at when I revisit.
