Iframes? embedded youtubes not appearing spinning activity icon

I keep having problems with PM28 where youtube videos embedded in forum posts are not displayed and I see "reading youtube.com" and the activity icon never stops.
Pages that have a window inside a window, the inside windows sometimes wont display either.

working right now but sometimes this inner window is blank.

Well it doesn't just happen instantly.
It takes an hour or 2 of browsing sites, using youtube and posting on the forum.
Eventually it happens.
Pretty sure I'm not the first to mention it.
PM 27.9.4 did not do this.

refreshing wont help and it says waiting or reading random sites in the staus bar.

If I block twitter with noscript then it works.

Oh, so just a little detail there .

32 or 64-bit?
How much RAM is being used (by PM) at the times when videos stop.
When the embedded videos stop, will the same still play directly on YT?
And at that time, do other videos, from "all" sites (i.e. sites not YT) also fail to play?


I have seen instances (with SeaMonkey) where "all" videos stop playing, fail to load.
Seems to coincide with high memory usage (though the issue is not simply due "high memory usage").
Never bothered to try to figure out the reason.
Seem to recall that visiting particular sites may have, over time, triggered that type of situation.
IOW, I can play videos from site a & b & c, all day long, but then I'll happen upon site z, & within sort order, videos fail.
Browser restart & those same videos play... until...
Haven't run into that situation in a while, but it has occurred.

Similarly, & associated, when this occurs, even externally opened videos (videos stored on my computer) fail, or play irregularly with various media players (MPlay, MPC, MPC-BE, Vlc...).

So whatever is gumming up things, starts in the browser end, but then progresses to such an extent that application external to the browser are also affected.

So "resources" or whatnot being used up, not released...

Still, it would be very helpful if you would put a "direct clickable link" to that item. In other words, just because a link doesn't work on your system doesn't mean it won't work on mine. Please post the link.

On a side note, my wife never has a problem with eBay whether looking at items or buying items with her eBay account using the present Pale Moon (28.2.2). Ditto for PayPal.

I clicked on the link "therube" posted. The Golden Falcon on eBay came up. I scrolled on down to the item specifics and the item description for this item was displayed. No spinning activity button. I then tried it a second time from the link and a third time and still the same results for me. The item description was displayed.

I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.2.2 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19.1 (Tessa) Xfce. For user agent, I am using Firefox Compatibility mode and eBay sees my user agent as:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:60.9) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/4.1 Firefox/60.9 PaleMoon/28.2.2

The only addons I am now using, at the time of this post, are NoSquint 2.2.2 and uBlock Origin (1.16.4.6). Most of my settings are default in Pale Moon. Default settings for uBlock Origin.

I'll check on my Windows 7 hard drive after typing this post.

I'm now running my 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1 hard drive using 32 bit windows Pale Moon (28.2.2).

I get exact same results using the same methods as in my first post using linux Pale Moon. The long item description shows. My settings for linux Pale Moon are the same for my windows Pale Moon. Same extensions also. Same Firefox Compatibility mode. Since I'm using my Windows 7 hard drive, eBay sees my user agent as:

The only difference from my linux Mint hard drive, I do not use any antivirus program in linux Mint. Since I'm using my Windows 7 hard drive, I also have free Avast AV as my antivirus program.

The problem has to be on your end someplace.

Closing the whole browser and opening it again fixes it
