Maybe this explains the Google ghost window.

Not really. Such generic statements are of little use.

I saw it. First thing I noticed is the Google search engine. So, it's not a clean profile. Most importantly, it doesn't prove anything. Performance heavily depends on the hardware used. So, a program can behave VERY differently on different hardware. You cannot reach such conclusions with such a test, on a single PC.

Can PM 27 perform better on a particular setup, usually old hardware? I haven't seen it but yes, it could be possible (we are ignoring the Web-browsing problems to be faced with PM 27 here, but everything is connected - there's a reason PM 28 might work better on newer hardware).

Can PM 28 perform better on another setup? Definitively yes, and that has been my experience.

I'm wonder how Google engine can influence the browser speed?

back2themoon wrote:I- there's a reason PM 28 might work better on newer hardware).
What do you mean "newer hardware"??. I have Intel I3-3,6Ghz/RAM-8G/Radeon R7-200 on Windows 10 Pro

By the way I think this is an honest test, a day by day browsing test. What do you wish, a benchmark test?

You are implying that I said "Google engine can influence the browser speed". I didn't. Read again.
badnick wrote:What do you mean "newer hardware"??.
I mean hardware that is newer than other hardware that was released earlier in time. Your test only covers your own PC. It doesn't prove "PM28 is more sluggish than PM27" on all PC's in the planet.

I didn't say it was "a dishonest test", read again. No wishes at the moment.

Well I come to say my experience with a few days. I have Windows 7, not at all a big PC, is old and low end. I was very impressed about how start Pale Moon because I have another browsers and no one of them I was able to open just after the computer is on like Pale. But I'm having a sever issue that doesn't happen with the other browsers, I can't open two tabs (for example facebook and youtube) because pale will hang very bad (use almost 100 per cent of memory of the computer). What can it be? Can you help me? I'm pretty happy about Pale in general except for that issue

Thanks! Here's my info. Again. I can open two tabs at once (facebook and youtube for ex.) without Pale hangs awfully. This doesn't happen with other browsers

That, by defintion, would be a problem with your system and not with the browser. Any issues within the browser like this (ghost windows, issues with leaked memory, etc.) would always be solved with a browser restart -- if it is your actual computer that needs to be restarted then something else is going on entirely (potentially a video driver instability or system software).

I have found that the only way to use this browser a lot during the course of one day, is to constantly close and reopen throughout the day, otherwise it just bogs down to the point is complete unusability.

Sorry to hear -- Conversely I tend to leave my system on for weeks with the browser open and don't experience any issues.

I wonder why that would be...??

My time is spent largely on Facebook and a host of "news" sites.

I doubt my system can in any way be blamed. From Speccy:

Your MB doesn't seem to properly recognize the installed memory.
Perhaps you should check to see if you have the latest BIOS version and chipset drivers installed.
If your RAM is still listed as "Unknown" afterwards, you need to check if it's running at the correct frequenzy, and perhaps set it manually.

DDR4 @ 2133MHZ looks like quite normal budget RAM but use CPU-Z/HWiNFO to double check - though I'd be much more concerned about the CPU that's running at 70+°C above ambient temperature.

It's because Speccy is no longer developed, thus some items produced after development ceased are not recognized. I keep using it though simply because it is still better other similar programs...

And I assure you that my motherboard recognizes my Samsung SSD 960 EVO just fine, and all my drivers on everything are in fact up to date. Being mostly retired means I have little else to do but obsess over these things, so unless they released something the last 24hrs, I should be quite current...

You may have missed the part where I pointed out that Speccy no longer properly reports AMD's latest chips properly, and the current temp is in fact 43°C (according to CPUID HWMonitor)

HWiNFO (as satrow refered to) is my favorite:
