AccessibleMarshal.dll - mysterious entry in install.log after installing Pale Moon 28.2.0

Unread post by Tohuwabohuix » 2018-11-14, 16:37

After installing/updating Pale Moon to version 28.2.0 I found a mysterious line in Pale Moon's install.log

Code: Select all

Pale Moon Installation Started: 2018-11-14 15:58:12
...
DLL Registration
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  ** ERROR Registering: C:\Program Files\PaleMoon\AccessibleMarshal.dll **
...
There is no file "AccessibleMarshal.dll" in the installation directory nor inside palemoon-28.2.0.win32.installer.exe :?
In both Basilisk and Firefox there is a AccessibleMarshal.dll file - not in Pale Moon. But why did the Pale Moon-setup try to register this dll ?
I'm curious about the solution of this riddle.

We do not include specialized accessibility code in our browser, which this DLL is for.
This log entry is harmless.
