Hi,
I am a heavy user of Firefox bookmarks, and use the bookmarks Description field quite a bit. Their version 62 removes access to the Description field, and from what I read, version 64 removes the Description field from their Places Sqlite database schema.
Q: Can I import my existing Firefox bookmarks into Pale Moon, and if so, do you have plans to remove the Bookmarks Description field?
Thanks very much,
Randy C.

Re: Firefox Dropping Bookmarks Description Field
You should be able to import your bookmarks from Firefox if you export them in HTML format.
As far as I know, there are no plans to remove the description field from the places database.

Bookmarks can also be imported from Firefox in if they are exported in json format. This is how I do mine since I have the SeaMonkey and Firefox browsers as backups to Pale Moon.Isengrim wrote:You should be able to import your bookmarks from Firefox if you export them in HTML format.

Re: Firefox Dropping Bookmarks Description Field
Please be aware that if you export to json as a "bookmark backup" and you restore it that way, that it will overwrite existing bookmarks in Pale Moon, not merge them -- if you just changed over to Pale moon then this may be what you want, but just giving a heads up here.

Re: Firefox Dropping Bookmarks Description Field
According to this article the descriptions are still in the bookmark file but just not displayed.
Exporting to PM should still have what you need.
