I'm wondering if it might be a theme issue. I can see addon icons, but no labels. Can you try some of the other themes to see if that changes anything?

Restart in Safe Mode disables themes.
Might tell you something ;-).

(And I believe it is a known issue that [some] themes may need updates to be [fully] usable.)

I have no theme enabled.
Restarting in safe mode brings back some extensions icons an nothing more.
I'm stuck...

1. Go to about:support, click "Open Folder" to get into your profile
2. Close the browser
3. Make a backup of your profile folder somewhere
4. If there is the chrome folder in the original profile, remove it
5. Start the browser, and if the problem still exists, continue to the next step
6. Close the browser
7. Remove the extensions folder with all its content
8. Start the browser and make sure about:addons works as it should
9. Create the extensions folder and add your add-ons from the backup profile one by one, restarting the browser at each step

I'll follow your instructions, just wanted to add that when the problem first appeared (after the update to 28.0), there were no themes at all. I stopped using themes when Pale Moon got completely separated from Firefox. Only today I installed a couple and now using Noia but as visible in the screen cap I added, no info about any add-on is visible.

It looks to be "Addons Manager Fix". Evidently not quite the fix people want... ;)

Remove that when in safe mode and the issue should stop.

Removing "Addons Manager Fix" solved the problem.
Thanks.

I confirm. After removal of "Addons Manager Fix" everything is back to normal.
Thanks for the hint.
