Why did I update...? :(

Facebook videos are now a pink square, when it used to work.

the [x] on tabs are now a HORRIBLE big button, which is cut off.

Can someone help me out here? How do I make that [x] on tabs smaller?

Fixed that one with:

.tab-close-button, .tabs-closebutton, .findbar-closebutton {
width:16px; height:16px;
}

But still, pink videos on facebook :/

That particular issue, with the [x] on tabs, was fixed in the apha/beta stage, so you shouldn't be seeing it.
Something must have gone wrong when you updated.
Try reinstalling.

Anyhow does pink persist if you restart in Safe Mode?
If not, restart normally but disable hardware acceleration & see if that makes a difference?

Grasemonkey isn't working either. My scripts disappeared, it was "disabled" after update, and I can't load anything :/

solved the pink video problem: layers.acceleration.force-enabled was set to "true", changed it to "false" and now its working.

Still... I NEED greasemonkey. Can't use Facebook witouth Facebook Purity script

I'm also seeing this particular pink video issue on Windows 10 Home using PM 28.0.0 in the link provided as well. But I can live with it.

You may be experiencing an issue of a problematic profile transfer. I use FB Purity and it's working fine on my v28 Pale Moon. If you don't mind resetting your preferences, you should try resetting all settings to default. Just restart in Safe Mode and it will give you the option of Resetting preferences to default. I prefer this to starting a new profile because it often fixes the issue just the same, but I don't have to mess with backing up and restoring bookmarks, extensions, themes, passwords, etc. Again, though, you will have to manually reset your preferences.

The issue now is that I can't run Java - at all.

What version of Java do you have installed?
Is it 32 or 64-bit? Is your PM 32 or 64-bit?

What does about:plugins show?
What does Addons Manager -> Plugins show?

A Brazilian Bank, called "Bradesco" - their business website uses Java as a "security plugin" (you can laugh now...)

PM 64 bits, Java 64 bits.
I found out if I set Java plugin to "always ask", it shows a dialog, and when I click "allow" the plugin runs.
If I set to "always allow" it doesn't.

...and after last update now java won't work with the bank, at all.

I even set the plugin to 'ask to activate' - but the java console shows up as soon as I open the login screen, it doesn't ask to activate it anymore...

Edit: double clicked the icon right next to the URL, set permissions *there* to ask, now its asking again. And only when it asks to 'activate java' I can get in the bank :/
