Pale Moon forum

OP System Windows Vista Business ...
Hello there,...as I was trying to upgrade Pale Moon to version 28 which I did. But after relaunching Pale Moon the browser did not upgrade and I had to go back to version 27.9.4 . Does that mean that Vista is not supported any longer? ....please advice !!

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused, but to confirm: Vista is not supported.

version 28 has dropped Vista support.
perhaps Moonchild should take the time to add that to the PM 28 release notes indicating that version 28 will not support Vista.

stay with the 27.9.4 release for a while when using Vista

I am running Vista Home Premium 64 bit which continues to work w/v28. I have continued applying security updates to my Vista as they come available. I did have trouble right after upgrading but saw a post that said uninstall the old version & do a fresh download. I did and it works perfectly.

How do you get the last version back? I was prompted to update and did not see it said and warnings about incompatibility. so I updated and now it doesn't work at all.

Before I installed 28 on my Vista I extracted my bookmarks to html, and wrote down my addons.
And downed the installer for 27.9.4.
Installed 28. It would not even launch. Bummer.
I know Vista is no longer supported any longer.
I am unwilling to use Chrome or Win 10, and I see Win 7 as a stopgap.
