problems with some full30 videos (firearm warning)

howdy

warning. the following website discusses firearms. if you can't handle that you are free to not proceed.

now... i sometimes have trouble loading videos on full30. particularly with IraqVeteran8888's channel.
https://www.full30.com/video/c02a6ca1d9 ... c4ecaf9332
that video will not load in Pale Moon for me. the player starts to load then closes/vanishes.
pasting the mp4 URL (found in the source) in a new tab, it says the file is corrupt.
vlc can stream it and reports it being H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)

some post saying they have problems, while others don't seem to have any issue.

full30 is whitepaged in uBlock. scripting is enabled. no proxy used.
Win7, Pale Moon 27.9.3 (32-bit)

is this a Pale Moon issue, or possibly an encoding issue?

thanks

I can play most of the IraqVeteran8888 videos on his channel but there are a "few" I cannot play. The ones I cannot play are:

Swiss K11
Gun Gripes (161, 160, 159)
Chinese Type 53 + 600 YD

I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 27.9.3 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19 (Tara) Xfce. I have Adblock Latitude 5.0.1 enabled for that site.

The videos that don't play, probably due to an error in the upload causing the corruption of the files.

What video? I see no videos on that page, and I tried it with all 4 browsers.

The video starts to load but then disappears for me. I tried white listing with all my blockers, but no go.

ok, now that is odd. others have been viewing it no problem (outside Pale Moon)

When you click on the OP's link in his first post, once on the page, left click on the IraqVeteran8888 name which is right under the subject "Gun Gripes #161: "This Gun Doesn't Fit My Hand" with John Lovell."

Then on the next page which opens, scroll on down the page and you will see all of his videos on his channel where most of his videos will play except for those videos which I listed and don't play.

Still no videos, just comments. That site seems to be broken as far as videos go.

@Goodydino

Video should be working: https://www.full30.com/video/ca8ed0fd31 ... 43e201bad9
Video should not be working: https://www.full30.com/video/ec6edd1577 ... 4435be0ac4
(Well, it should ;-), but per the bug, it doesn't.)

If that is not the case for you, then as a test, create a new, clean Profile & test again.

If that does not work with 4 different browsers, a new profile on one of them is not likely to help. If anything, Safari should work, but does not.

thank you everyone for helping out.

can anyone test/validate the mp4 files to see if there is a problem with them?

There is no problem with the files.
The files exist & do play.

The fact that some do not play in PM, well see GMforker's bug report, above.
And hopefully it will get resolved for PM 28.

i think there is a problem though. his last upload users are saying the video crashes.
https://www.full30.com/video/f4a9d1de0b ... 3113644785
just because it plays in VLC doesn't mean there isn't a problem with the file.
also, all of Ian's (forgottenweapons) videos all play fine.

can someone who has the ability PLEASE verify the files are compliant to whatever the video standard is?
thank you

Is there something new?
Which (don't work)?

> compliant to ... standard

And just what determines "compliance"?
And if the videos are not "compliant", are you going to be able to do anything to get them re-posted in this "compliant" mode? And if not, what alternatives are there?
