facebook cannot be correctly seen on last update of PM28 (unstable)
With the last update of PM28 (unstable) the Facebook pages cannot be seen. When I scroll them down the contents completely disappears (flat blue field) and appears again, when I scroll back. There is no such problem with both the previous version of PM28 and the PM27.9.3.
System: Linux (openSUSE 42.3).

Re: facebook cannot be correctly seen on last update of PM28 (unstable)
Guys, it's easier to just list what's in the about box (betas have a build date listed) instead of the BuildID blurb. Saying "latest" doesn't help us.

Yup
OK, try this. Go to about:config
in the list of preferences, find general.useragent.override.facebook.com and general.useragent.override.fbcdn.com
Both of these values have a Firefox 99.9 UA -- try changing the version number to 52.9 (both rv: and Firefox/xx.x)
After that, clear your cache and restart the browser.
If that doesn't work, try setting both values to:

I can confirm that neither UA setting stops the posts from vanishing.

OS (since we're not allowed to know)?
And do you have a choice in video renderer?
Any change if you restart in Safe Mode?

Re: facebook cannot be correctly seen on last update of PM28 (unstable)
ok.
It might be the intersection observer code in that case, which Facebook extensively uses (but probably only targets Chrome with)
Please go to about:config and set dom.IntersectionObserver.enabled to false. Let me know if that fixes the issue.

Since it's one of those "usefulness is dubious" working drafts, it's no big deal if we disable it by default.

Indeed, it fixes.Moonchild wrote:Please go to about:config and set dom.IntersectionObserver.enabled to false. Let me know if that fixes the issue.
By the way, I updated to 28.0.0.b2 (64-bit) (2018-06-30) and it shows the same behavior.

OF COURSE it does. Did we conclude this investigation before it was released? No. Should we magically expect patches to travel back in time to apply themselves to already-released versions?lashkevi wrote:By the way, I updated to 28.0.0.b2 (64-bit) (2018-06-30) and it shows the same behavior.

Getting this again today... 28.0.0b3 x64 (2018-07-08). dom.IntersectionObserver.enabled is set to false (now by default I think).
update: it works again now...
