Facebook features stopped working (META)

Just now: facebook share button stopped working in PaleMoon. I checked on two computers (Linux, OpenSUSE 42.3).

Confirmed.

I restarted in safe mode, but that didn't help. I went back a version at at a time to 27.8.0 and that didn't help. It does work on an alternate browser. Using Kubuntu 16.4.

Chat stopped working after last night session. Did a clean re-install, started in safe mode, rolled back to previous versions, removed all addons and extensions, tried another machine using latest 64bit version and nothing works.

Chat works with FF lastest version but not Pale Moon.

I see there are others with issues with Facebook share that started last night

Using Win 7 32bit and 64bit.

Is anyone experiencing this? Tried opening facebook messenger, and all I get is a blank screen. On console I can see:

Tried clearing cache, running on safe mode, changing user agent - no changes.

So - is anyone having this same problem? I can open messenger fine on Firefox 56.
Also, setting "security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy" to false/true has no effect.

Same here. Also, disabling Facebook Purity doesn't help, so the problem is definitely Pale Moon. Works fine in IE. Just noticed this a few minutes ago. Worked fine earlier in the day.

EDIT: Like (etc) emoji and make a comment still works.

In addition to the other information provided, note that if you click on the "New message" link shown in badnick's attachment, it opens a chat window but clicking in either "To" or the message box results in opening Explorer to add an attachment.

Further, the gear menu at the bottom right of the screen is grayed out. The purpose of that menu is to turn chat on or off.

I just wanna say that I have the same issue. It's working fine in other browsers, but man... I don't want to use other browsers for something as integrated into my life as facebook. I can live with the fact that videos in Facebook no longer work, but messages? No. No. It'd be like having to use other browsers to use google. It's probably gonna get fixed soon though since it's such a vital service and all. But yeah.. My point is simply that I wanted to chime in and say I'm also experiencing this.

Videos are working and have been working flawlessly for months, but as of today there are now no buttons for stop/rewind/forward etc.

Not for me. When I hit play the page refreshes, but the video never plays.

However it might be because I don't have MSE asynchronously enabled because that seems to completely break HD-playback in youtube, so that might explain it.

Same for me, since this morning (EU) or so.
Damn Firefox still works, so I guess they did something to make "wrong" browsers' users life more miserable.
At this point I strongly believe this shit is done on purpose.

Yes, I noticed this too. Works fine on Pale Moon 28 alpha (FB is smoother in general).

update: getting this in PM28 too now... hopefully, it'll be a temporary FB glitch (wouldn't be the first time).
update 2: ...and now it works

From now on like emoticons do not work too.
