Tons of crashes

Unread post by Octopuss » 2018-06-10, 10:45

I keep getting obscene amounts of crashes (out of the blue) today. I have no idea why.
This is what Eventlog says:

Code: Select all

Faulting application name: palemoon.exe, version: 27.9.2.6710, time stamp: 0x5afc6731
Faulting module name: mozjs.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x5afc67e8
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000000e2c74
Faulting process id: 0x4a8
Faulting application start time: 0x01d400a6c58b59b1
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\mozjs.dll
Report Id: 34937401-6c9b-11e8-a97b-902b34ddceaf
What do I do? There's no way to troubleshoot this it seems :(
Are there any crashdumps I should post?

Also, please post the actions leading to the crash(es).

Nothing! It was completely random. Sometimes I wasn't even doing anything, just reading a page when PM simply crashed.

Oh, and I've downloaded Appcrashview, but it's not showing anything. I have no idea how to use it. Is it supposed to read stuff from Eventlog?

If it's that random, I'd rather think you're having a hardware issue than anything related to the browser.

No I don't. My PC is perfectly stable and it's only PM that crashes. Don't ask me, I don't know! I have plenty of tabs opened so I can't even tell which one could be the cause.

Not having the issue that Octopuss is having, but I just upgraded to 27.9.3 ... xul.dll is now at version 27.9.3.6735. Perhaps your xul.dll has gone corrupt somehow and upgrading to 27.9.3 will resolve the issue?

That was before I updated.
I guess there's no point in troubleshooting it since it's so random.
