Gmail problems again.

Unread post by Mike89 » 2018-03-22, 19:40

Tried to go to Gmail today and got this, You have been redirected to the basic HTML version because this browser is not supported. Any fix for this?

Edit: This seems to have fixed it.

general.useragent.override.google.com;Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/2.0 Firefox/59.0 PaleMoon/27.0

Do I need to make any adjustments to this?

I don't think you need any adjustments
You could try your gmail useragent (google) to

Code: Select all

 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x86) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36
or

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:53.0.3) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0.3
or

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0
This will fix your issue

I do not have any issue with Gmail on Pale Moon 27.8.2 (32-bit) using the default UA Override for Google: general.useragent.override.google.com set to Pale Moon default value Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.9) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/3.4 Firefox/52.9 PaleMoon/27.8.2 -- odd that the default presumably does not work in your case. :eh:

That one you posted was not what mine was before I changed it. In mine those version numbers were way lower. It was what I had put in a couple years ago. I will use yours as it's even more updated than what I had changed mine to.

Assuming you're using the current release (PM 27.8.2), just right-click on general.useragent.override.google.com and choose Reset to restore the override to its default value (which is the value @Pale Moon Rising posted).

Thank you for that tip, I didn't even know that. I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack, that's for sure.
