Several seconds after capturing this screenshot of the problem, Pale Moon crashed without any early warning and without any error message.
This problem won't happens with Internet Explorer 11.

After reading your post, I opened a tab and went to Google Maps where the page rendered properly and Pale Moon did not crash. Even found my house where I live.

I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 27.7.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 18.3 (Sylvia) Xfce. The only addons I use are the old NoSquint 2.1.9.1 and Adblock Latitude (4.0.1).

Since you're using Windows 7, I'll switch over to my Windows 7 hard drive and report back.

I'm on my Windows 7 hard drive now. I repeated everytlhing I did in my previous post above and no problems with Google Maps like you're experiencing. And I have have the same addons installed too.

This hard drive is using 32 bit windows Pale Moon 27.7.0 running in 64 bit Windows 7, SP 1.

It's probably an issue with the graphics driver -- WebGL and all.

Updated to the last stable version: Still occurs.
Also, I checked the Pale Moon process with Task Manager, when this problem happens, and discovered that during using Google Maps, Pale Moon process Inflates to more than 1GB.
The following extensions are installed:

I've Nvidia GeForce GT 220 graphic card and with driver version 342.01.
I checked the process of IE11, when using Google Maps on it, and it looks like it don't inflates as much as Pale Moon (Reaching to the 200M threshold).
I don't think this is related to the driver of the graphic adapter.

Testing on IE doesn't MEAN anything. Microsoft has its own undocumented ways of doing things...

I've got the same Nvidia GeForce GT 220 graphics card in my 2010 desktop tower computer. And I think I've got the same graphics driver since the 340 series is the last graphics driver which supports this desktop tower computer running 64 bit Window 7, SP 1.

BTW, it is the same desktop tower computer which I typed my second post with too. And still no problems with Google Maps and 32 bit windows Pale Moon (27.7.0).

I much prefer bing maps myself.
No issues with google maps on my end,but as ever with google products they will be steering it towards their own browser.

Try disabling hardware acceleration?
Win7 Pro SP1 64 Bit
Comodo Internet Security
Pale Moon 33.0.2, Epyrus Mail 2.1.2, Firefox 115.9.1esr, Thunderbird 115.9.0, and SeaMonkey 2.53.18.2

Disabled hardware acceleration, Pale Moon process still inflates in memory to more than 1GB, and Google Maps stops responding at street view after a while, and keep crashing.

Vista 64bit
NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT
512 megs memory
Driver Version: 8.17.12.8026 (ForceWare 280.26)
Palemoon 27.7.1 32bit
No problems Google Maps 3d bird's eye view panning etc,

If this machine can run it you should be able to. Dump your extensions, a map is more important, no?

How to dump Pale Moon extension? (Note: Pale Moon inflates and finally stop responding and crashing mainly when Google Maps is at street view and during navigation there, otherwise, it is much less of a problem. And it happens regardless if hardware acceleration is active or not).

In about:addons (put that in your address bar and press enter), you can disable or remove any extensions that you may have (none are installed by default). Through the Help menu, you can also restart in Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all add-ons.
Off-topic:
I would note that I consider some of my add-ons more important than Google Maps, but that depends on the person and their add-ons.

Restarted Pale Moon in Safe Mode, still inflating as high as 1.4GB in the Task Manager, during street view navigation, and after some time:

But at least it don't crashes anymore.

Could it be something to do with Javascript? Maybe you haven't enabled it?
