The latest version of the SmartVideo For YouTube add-on doesn't work with 27.6.1 (Mac) due to being a Jetpack/SDK extension. I was able to get an older version to install, but YouTube's annotations slider-button remains stubbornly to the right.
Any solutions?

Re: Killing YouTube annotations (without being logged in)
If you use Adblock Latitude or ABPrime you can use the blockable items panel to workout a filter to block the js module responsible for annotations on YouTube.. I am doing this.

So as I don't have to learn Swahili from scratch, could you provide the scripts and some instructions on how to add it?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Killing YouTube annotations (without being logged in)
This filter has worked for me.
If you use Adblock Latitude / ABPrime:
Filter preferences... (Ctrl+Shift+E) > Custom filters tab > click the Add filter button.
Paste filter into the box that opens up.
For uBlock Origin:
Dashboard > My filters > paste the filter into the text area > click Apply changes.
In ABL/Prime there are built-in aids available to help figure this stuff out, as Tobin said, by using the Blockable Items feature (Ctrl+Shift+V).
For uBlock Origin likewise, by opening/using the Logger.

Code: Select all
||youtube.com/yts/jsbin/*/annotations_module.js

Re: Killing YouTube annotations (without being logged in)
That does the trick, although perhaps more severely than I would like, as it removes the Annotations slider-button entirely.
(I would prefer Annotations were default = OFF, not completely gone.)
