Funimation Website Videos not loading in PM27.6.1 or Basilisk
Hi all,
I'm having trouble getting Funimation's videos on their website through the Brightcove Media Player to load. I'm using Windows 10 Home, 64-bit version, with Pale Moon 27.6.1 64-bit version.
https://www.funimation.com/shows/cowboy ... onk-women/
This video, and others like it are incorrectly formatting the player. The same issue happens in Basilisk. Only the thumnail shows up, the rest of the player is incorrectly formatted, and the video won't play.
Anyone else having this issue?

Nope - do not have this issue. The video you linked works fine in Pale Moon 27.6.1 (32-bit) for me (using Windows 7 64-bit)... I had to accept their cookies before it would as the website prompted me to do so (my Cookies Exterminator add-on should take care of them for me in the end, but I'll check).

Works fine for me on Windows 10 Home 64 bit version using Palemoon 27.6.1 (64bit).
Basilisk also opens it fine.

Won't play for me.
Win 8.1 x64
PM 27.6.1 x 64
User agent mode: Native
Also have the same outcome with FF 57 x64
I initially tried opening the link behind a VPN (Belgium) and it said content not available in your region.

Turns out it was a problem with my hosts file, blocking s0.2mnd.net broke the player, it was in a combined hosts file.

Does not work for me at all. I tried with 4 different browsers. Maybe MacOS cannot do it?

After disabling Adblock Latitude and refreshing the page, it does not work for me. It keeps asking me to disable my adblocker when I already have.
I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon (27.6.1).

Re: Funimation Website Videos not loading in PM27.6.1 or Basilisk
Looks like there is something seriously wrong with the video player on this website...managed to get it working in Basilisk then it reverted back to the same problem of a messed up status bar and no way to play the video. Why do people design video players so poorly?
EDIT: Noticed the other problem. If you have any kind of AdBlocker on, even if it's disabled for Funimations scope, the video will still not load as it requires s0.2mdn.net to run. For some reason even having uBlock Origin in my case installed in a browser is enough to keep the video from loading. Word to the wise.

I have ublock origin (1.13.8) enabled with easylist/privacy + active and the video plays fine.

Same here but with the current uBo 1.14.18 (FYI: BluHell Firewall users need to disable it for videos to play).tenseys wrote:I have ublock origin (1.13.8) enabled with easylist/privacy + active and the video plays fine.
