How to migrate FF Add-On settings stored in about:config ?
Howdy,
New to Pale Moon... Thrilled to have landed here.
In the process of migrating add-ons, I learned that some store their settings in about:config.
For instance, that is the case of Dorando (custom key bindings).
Is there a way to easily lift some about:config out of FF and move them into PM?
In the case of Dorando, I have about 30 entries. Just hoping to save a bit of time.
Thanks in advance for any insights.

Anyone?
If it can't be done, no problem, I'll do it manually. But this lazy bum would prefer to automate it if that's possible.
Thanks in advance for any insights.

I don't think there's any way to automate the settings over. Make a copy of your prefs.js file in PM (in case you mess up). Open the FX prefs.js file with Notepad and find the settings lines related to your extension. Copy them and paste them appropriately in PM's prefs.js file. Save the file. This should work, if it doesn't, you can replace the file with the one you saved.firefoxed wrote:Anyone?

It worked beautifully, thank you.
Then I learned about
Use OPIE
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefo ... /versions/
which also works beautifully for the same purpose (you can filter the Prefs).

That's good. I didn't know about OPIE. Glad everything worked out!firefoxed wrote:It worked beautifully, thank you.
