Rendering/graphics issue - Pale Moon 15.3.1

Post by Riddle » 2012-11-30, 14:22

Upgraded to Pale Moon 15.3.1, and lets just say the window didn't look like it usually does.
The only thing on the change log that I could see that might affect it is: Font rendering issues on Windows 8 (cairo+azure)
I was able to fix the problem by switching 'gfx.direct2d.disabled' to true, but does anyone have any idea what might have caused it?

Running Windows 8 RTM (64 bit) + ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 + AMD Catalyst 12.6 Legacy drivers.

Check to make sure you don't have Azure for content enabled in your preferences, which can cause this on some systems:
gfx.content.azure.enabled should be false

Experienced similar issues with 15.3.1-x64 ... setting gfx.content.azure.enabled to false resolved the problem; just wanted to report success.

Using nVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti with driver version 306.97 under Windows 7 Pro/SP1.

gfx.content.azure.enabled is set to false by default for a reason ;-)

I've switched 'gfx.direct2d.disabled' back to false, then 'gfx.content.azure.enabled' to false (it was set to true, but I don't remember doing that), and it fixed the problem, although this never happened before 15.3.1. Thanks!
