Not Finding Add-On for Norton

I have reviewed the lists of Add-ons for Pale Moon (supported/not) and cannot locate anything Norton (specifically Identity Safe). Is Norton Identity Safe compatible w/ PM 27? Or will it be? Thanks slh

You should search on Mozilla Firefox add-on site. Pale Moon supports Firefox add-ons. So, give it a try. :) :thumbup:

When I go to the mozilla site, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... tity-safe/, for the identity safe add-on I get a message saying that it only works with version 51 and I only have version 27.9. Any idea where they are hiding the version that is compatible with Pale Moon 27.7?

I could be mistaken, but I think add-ons that work with Firefox 51 may very well work with Pale Moon 27. The problem comes with later versions of Firefox, especially 57, which only accepts add-ons that are web extensions. ADDED NOTE: you may need to change the about:config setting general.useragent.override.addons.mozilla.org so that it indicates a Firefox version of 51 or above.

This is not a justified operating assumption.
FF 51 and PM have grown very far apart. And being a web extension is not the only reason (nor even almost the only reason) an add-on might be incompatible. Compatibility is a case-by-case, extension-by-extension determination.

If you do this, it will cause an install button to be offered for extensions that, in many cases are not compatible.

Thanks very much, coffeebreak, for your advice about this. I guess I've been lucky. I know that FF51 and PM have grown apart, but I've got PM's about:config setting set for FF 52, and most of the time that has worked well for me. Nonetheless, I hesitated to post my message, since my understanding of these matters is rather limited. I will definitely keep in mind what you've said.
