DOM engine bugs

Unread post by beansandfranks » 2017-10-19, 20:35

In the process of surveying the Windows update landscape before selecting my allowed updates (gotta do that with those Microsoft guys), I ran across the following article that describes the testing of 5 common browsers for security bugs ==> https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/s ... rity-bugs/

I'm curious as to how the Pale Moon developers can use such a tool to aid in strengthening Pale Moon?

Thanks!!

Fuzzing is common practice to find potential issues in code, but in many cases what comes out of it is not exploitable. Calling them "security bugs" is most certainly some cock-crowing that should be taken with a few grains of salt.

Thanks for the reply. I figured this was probably fairly known, etc, but I thought I'd ask.
And thank you SO MUCH for creating and leading a GREAT browser. I recommend it every chance I get!
