A TDR issue perhaps?
Nvidia never seems to get a grip on those problems. :(

Nvidia isn't as good as it once was concerning the newest graphics drivers for one's computer. Every time there is a new driver for my now very old windows Nvidia graphics driver, the Nvidia site scans my computer and gives me the newest driver which Nvidia says is compatible. The problem is, my Windows 7 hard drive gives me a prompt and tells me the newest driver is "not" compatible and will not install.

So I keep using a very old Nvidia graphics driver for my Nvidia GT 220 graphics card for my desktop tower's hard drive which has Windows 7 on it. I've got that old Nvidia graphics driver on 4 thumb/flash drives too since I don't want to lose it.

Anytime I install Windows 7 back on that hard or get a new hard drive for that desktop computer, once on the Desktop, I re-install that old Nvidia driver. I'm guessing that driver is probably from the year 2013.

There's no point in sending me a dump in this case, since there is nothing that can be done about it on the application side.
If your GPU crashes and requires a driver restart, our drawing surfaces are pulled out from under us. The crashing module d2d1.dll isn't ours, it's the Direct2D library part of DirectX. The library crashes and takes the browser down with it because it cannot function without it.

You can work around the issue by disabling the use of d2d, but the root cause is the low-level driver and/or GPU crashing. So.. complain to NVidia.
