Hi all, am using XP pro SP3. Also using the portable PM v.6 build, if that makes any difference.
Have been using Pale Moon for about 3 months now, and overall, have been very impressed - many thanks. However, since the v.6.0 update, i have had Pale Moon hanging after downloading a 'jpg'. This has happened 3 times now (so am quite certain why it occurs) and Pale Moon remains unresponsive (for at least 15 mins - the longest i've left it to hang for) until it's forced closure. Any current downloads are also stopped - there's no activity shown by my firewall.
I cannot be sure if this is a general Firefox problem, or specific to Pale Moon - will be able to say later, since am switching back over to Firefox for now. It doesn't always occur and seems highly intermittent, but when it does - it obviously forces a complete re-start. I have not found any recent Firefox posts reporting similar problems, and neither of the 2 recommended solutions (clearing download history and reducing download folder size) seem pertinent. PM v.5.0 downloaded files into larger folders with no problem, and my download history is set to clear on exit.
This is the only real problem i've had with Pale Moon so far, but since i'm unwilling to run another browser just to download pictures i'm viewing in Pale Moon, i'll be going back over to Firefox for now - will report back if the same problem occurs with that. Any help will me much appreciated, other than that Pale Moon works very well, so again many thanks.

Have you tried the suggestions on http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_sav ... load_files ?
It has a few other advanced options that may interfere with downloading of files, although the intermittent nature of your problem makes it odd; please note that Pale Moon does not include the "on finished download AV scanner" functionality, so anything related to that will certainly not be the cause.

Will have a look at he page you mentioned, and try out some of the suggestions there.
Sadly, am writing this from Firefox, but will return to the fold as soon am able to.
