Hex color in PM15
Greetings! I would like to know what Hex color code was in Pale Moon 15.0 (browser.display.standalone_images.background_color)

Thanks a lot! This background is very stylish looks. You should not have changed it in PM 15.1Moonchild wrote:It was Firefox's default "almost black", #222
Re: Hex color in PM15
I didn't - I restored it to the color it was in previous versions of Pale Moon after it was inadvertently changed by switching to the Firefox 15 code base. It was previously changed to this lighter, neutral color because the almost-black would provide too much visual contrast for most images. See also the release notes for Pale Moon 12.2 where this different color was first introduced.aleks_123 wrote:Thanks a lot! This background is very stylish looks. Try downloading this tiny .exe ColorPix from homepage: http://www.colorschemer.com/colorpix_info.php - curiously Softpedia seems to have later version ColorPix 1.2 : http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/W ... rPix.shtml Hours of endless fun if you are modifying Pale Moon GUI with CSS scripts and you need to find colours in use. Very small on screen utility, good options and a brilliant variable zoom % "magnifier" dropdown window - but then I'm a sucker for tiny displays and love having a NetMeter window scrolling away in the corner of my screen too!
Also a number of colour Add-ons for Firefox/Pale Moon really aimed at developers but not difficult to use.... try Alex Sirota's ColorZilla for Firefox: http://www.colorzilla.com/firefox/ or direct from Firefox Add-ons page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... olorzilla/

Re: Hex color in PM15
Ah, my mistake earlier. I don't often view images on the background and I knew that one had been around some time.Moonchild wrote:See also the release notes for Pale Moon 12.2 where this different color was first introduced.
Re: Hex color in PM15
No, you were right, Ro - that is the color that had been used since 12.2, and is now the default setting for this new parameter - the only "odd one out" was 15.0 where the color had changed to the Firefox default (a regression).

Re: Hex color in PM15
Aside from the PM 15.1 color being restored as it was on PM 12, there was also a texture pattern on the PM 15.0 almost black background color. How can I restore the visual that was on PM 15.0? I found it to be most pleasant, above the current PM 15.1 visual.
And on a different note, gfx.content.azure.enabled is now disabled by default on PM 15.1 while it was enabled on PM 15.0. Why did this change, and can there be any stability or performance issues by enabling it back as it was on PM 15.0?
EDIT: Seems I was looking at gfx.canvas.azure.enabled, not gfx.content.azure.enabled, my bad. Is Azure mature enough to be enabled for gfx.content.azure.enabled or should it remain disabled?
