Memory Leak

I am not 100% sure what is leaking but the commit memory is 155,124kb but the shareable Memory keeps going up until it is using 100% of my systems Ram Witch stop my PC being able to do anything until Palemoon 15.0 is forcefully ended Never had this trouble before Tried uninstalling and reinstalling once I removed all the old files still same thing keeps happening Even now pale moon is using 1gb of ram? I looking at the task manager resource monitor window.

also up to 1.7gb of Shareable Ram by the end of this post

I've used dxdiag to get the system specs for you
note using catalyst 12.8 with 2 ati 6950 2gb

You might want to try updating to v15.1, released today. I've made some changes to specifically address out-of-bounds memory use by DirectX (would appear when hardware acceleration is in use on problematic drivers) and to address instability in the javascript engine which may actually pop up more quickly on high-end machines (yes, there is such a thing as too fast hardware).

So, try that first, and see if it helps.
Providing an output of "about:memory" when your memory use is very high may also give us more insight into where it goes.

Ok 15.1 has not fixed the issue but I grabbed the About:memory Page witch was hard to do with it killing my system

@ ShimmerUK: Your memory leak problems definitely above my pay grade but came across this ghacks page today: http://www.ghacks.net/2012/09/05/firefo ... by-addons/ which has a link half way down to "Nicholas Nethercote's Blog" (https://blog.mozilla.org/nnethercote/20 ... eek-63-64/) and being distracted I hadn't realised exactly what work he is doing for Mozilla until this evening.... so his blog and comment thread might just contain some useful ideas and leads?

Ill take a look at those links looks like a Tool to help prevent Leaks from add-ons

Not sure if that the problem thou as looking at that about:memory page I posted the issue seems to be with
4,761.35 MB ── resident
7,906.40 MB ── vsize
if I am reading those number right that over 12gb of ram being eaten there?

You seem to have the same issue as someone else in this same board running an ATI HD6900 with Catalyst 12.8
Can you check if disabling hardware acceleration fixes the issue for you? I suspect a bad x64 driver causing this problem.

Seem you could be right would uninstalling the Driver as well as using driver sweep to remove or files related to it and re-installing help you think or is it something that been baldly encoded by AMD/ATI

I think you may have to install an older version of the driver. I personally run 12.3 on my HD6870, and it has 0 problems, so I don't see a need to upgrade right now.

@ ShimmerUK: Seems you've got company: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/934825 - last couple of posts at bottom of thread confirm problem reproduces in Firefox 15 too. EDIT: Sorry.... just couldn't resist this comment #23 on Overclockers UK Forums! (last comment down at bottom of page)
