Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
Well derp, I forgot an important step for the method I described - in the Pale Moon options, you need to set the action for 'PDF Document' to "Use SumatraPDF Browser Plugin" like shown in the screenshot in this post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14024#p100049

Thanks for the mod. It work well in Xubuntu 16.04.1 where plug-in options are limited.

Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
As mentioned in the previous post, this is essential for Linux (in this case Linux Mint 64bit 18.1) where any sort of browser plugins are quite limited.

Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
Apologies for the double-post, but it won't let me edit my previous post anymore.
Is there any chance of adding this extension to addons.palemoon.org?
Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
There was a quick proof-it-works build, the add-on should be properly forked.Nintendo Maniac 64 wrote:Is there any chance of adding this extension to addons.palemoon.org?
If someone wants to take this task, I can share what has been done.

Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
Now the real question is, when will it appear on addons.palemoon.org?
Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
I don't want it, just wondering, does this still work?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
Pale Moon Commander should NOT be run on Pale Moon 27 until it has had an overhaul.
Also, no.. The pref that that checkbox flips doesn't exist. There is no built in PDF reader in Pale Moon 27.

Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
Is this the first time that has been stated? I don't remember seeing it previously. Also, if that's the case, why wasn't someting implemented to automatically disable PMC.Matt A Tobin wrote:Pale Moon Commander should NOT be run on Pale Moon 27 until it has had an overhaul.
Lastly, if I disable PMC now on 27.0.3, will that be enough? Or will that not revert the changes it has made?
Re: Viewing PDFs inside a browser tab
In general, having unsused prefs does not cause any problems. For example, you can't enable a PDF viewer that is not even included. There might be some exceptions, like prefs that were removed but the relevant code is still enabled. (I don't have PMC installed to test anything specific because I'd rather tinker with about:config.)
