GMX webmail interface
This started yesterday so it isn't a Palemoon update problem. (Palemoon 26.3.3)
It also isn't a Windows update problem because I haven't updated one of the two computers. The other was updated today but the problem preceded the WU.
I login to GMX and my homepage is blank. I can see the first page with the login button and everything else fine.
I tested this on 2 computers with the same results.
I then fired up FF ESR and my home page appeared so I was finally able to read emails sent July 12th and 13th.
I did send a message to GMX. I'll bet they tell me my browser isn't supported. Is there anything I can try to get the page to load (I did refresh and it comes up blank) because I much prefer Palemoon to FF?

Re: GMX webmail interface
I had the same problem a couple of days ago, I just kept force refreshing, relogging, anything - after maybe 10 minutes, it cleared and has been normal since.

Thanks, satrow. I'll try refreshing more than once and see if I can fix it.
I got a canned response from GMX with solutions for issues that aren't related at all to mine.

Re: GMX webmail interface
GMX acquired Mail.com a few years ago.
I was a mail.com user and still continue login using the mail.com website (the few times I use the web to access my accounts): http://www.mail.com/. I haven't ran into any problems using this Mail.com login site, you might try this link and see if this possibly helps.

Re: GMX webmail interface
Ok, I've just hit it again, this time it was preceded by some info about GMX reverting to the ownership of the main German company in August. First few attempts to get in and I'm still on a blank page, Grrrr...
EDIT: managed to luck my way in again, but now I'm using an Alpha PM and a new PM Profile, with all my old 'working' profile copied across - not a limited import, the complete contents were copied over... it really shouldn't have made any difference (other than any changes/bugs introduced by the Alpha PM), except I can now access my GMX Inbox but I can't scale the GMX page size (other pages are as previously set and/or scalable).

Re: GMX webmail interface
Okay it looks like 1&1 Media Inc. has merged with GMX as some point.
I haven't logged into my mail.com accounts on the web in a very long time (I use Email Clients to access mail).
So this is what I'm getting:
Pale Moon: blank page after attempting to log-in.
Firefox: the log-in button doesn't even work at all and I notice that I get a browser to old message at the top of the log-in page recommending I update to version 47 (I don't really use FF other than to test so it's on I think version 46.0.1. I certainly wouldn't expect an Email log-in interface to worry about the difference between FF version 46 and version 47, all I can say is wow!!)
Chrome: logging in gives me a warning I'm not allowing Javascript (but as far as I'm aware I am and I don't have this issue with any other websites) so I'm at a loss at to why I get this warning but then the page does go to an inbox interface page, which btw looks entirely different now than I recall how it looked in the past.
IE11: okay it's not that the interface has change because the one browser I'm able to successfully log-in to my email account is Internet Explorer 11 and the interface is as it always has been. So I'm assuming the Chrome interface was a partial GUI after warning about not allowing Javascript (which makes no sense as far as I can tell).
Obviously GMX is on the move and making major changes which will most likely produce a bumpy ride accessing email on the web for awhile perhaps.
Bottom line, so far IE11 is the only browser I am able to successfully log-in to a GUI that I recognize.

Re: GMX webmail interface
I can add to the above that in Pale Moon when I go back to try and log-in again (after getting the blank page after logging-in) by clicking on the log-in URL I then do get the message below that would tell us that my email account at least apparently thinks I had logged-in when I get the blank page.
But then if I click on the "Continue to inbox" button, I get the blank page all over again.
So as I said, obviously the UI thinks I was logged in the first time and of course once again thinks the same thing when I "Continue to inbox"..... A real live catch-22 cycle.... but most certainly isn't the problem causing the blank page in the first place however.

Re: GMX webmail interface
What I'm observing is that the mail.com log-in URL is redirected to https://poseidon.navigator-lxa.mail.com. In the case when I get the message I should log-off the redirect is to https://poseidon.navigator-lxa.mail.com/remindlogout.
FWIW, https://poseidon.navigator-lxa.mail.com is the following:

Re: GMX webmail interface
For the record in reference to what I've posted above that I get in Chrome.
After log-in I get this page for about 3 seconds: then I get redirect to this page: where I can navigate by clicking on any of the functions to the left and exit those functions returning me back to the interface illustrated above.
Obviously totally different experience than a "normal" log-in.

Re: GMX webmail interface
Have had the same experience described by everyone else but was never able to "luck" my way back in.
However I did eventually reach the inbox by removing 'poseidon' from the url.
https://poseidon.navigator-bs.gmx.com/?sid=blahblahblah...
becomes
https://navigator-bs.gmx.com/?sid=blahblahblah...
This has worked reliably.... for the last hour or so -- but somehow I don't trust it to work for the long haul.
Got this in the Error Console while the screen was blank:

Re: GMX webmail interface
Well, back on the Alpha PM, I'm in there with https://poseidon.navigator-bs.gmx.com/mail?sid blahblahblah.
In between, on PM current release, I hit the white wall again, I'll try it with the no-Poseidon the next time I use it.

Re: GMX webmail interface
I sent another message to support at GMX.
Palemoon redirects after I login to https://poseidon.navigator.bx.gmx.com? followed by a long alphanumeric changing code
Firefox redirects me to https://poseidon.navigator.bx.gmx.com/home? followed by a long alphanumeric code
I tried inserting home and refreshing but that didn't work.
I just tried removing the word poseidon in Palemoon and that indeed does work.
Thanks for the workaround. I hate firing up FF just to read email on one site. Since I do get mail daily at GMX, I want to see my inbox.

Re: GMX webmail interface
Hey guys. I came here to report the same thing. I would be very grateful for a fix to this, I have no idea what's causing it. Thanks a lot for your hard work.
@Coffeebreak mate, your workaround, well did in fact work. So thanks for that, I hope that'll do us fine until there is a permanent fix.

Same problem for me with Mail.com, using Pale Moon.
Removing "poseidon." from the URL works for me too, but is not necessary when using IE or Chrome.

Re: GMX webmail interface
Removing "poseidon" from the URL - WORKS!!
I doubt this is really relevant but searching this out I found a couple of interesting links related to "poseideon":
1) Cisco Discovers New "PoSeidon" Point of Sale Malware
2) PoSeidon Malware Charts a Course For PoS Data
Which makes me wonder if security Firewalls and/or AV apps are interfering
But then I doubt this is the problem (I did try adding the "poseidon" URL[wildcard context] to Webshield exclusions in my AV app and it makes no difference.
)

That pretty much describes MY problem with Pale Moon and the GMX WebMail UI during the past couple of days.Pale Moon Rising wrote:I can add to the above that in Pale Moon when I go back to try and log-in again (after getting the blank page after logging-in) by clicking on the log-in URL I then do get the message below that would tell us that my email account at least apparently thinks I had logged-in when I get the blank page.

Disabling my ad blocker (current uBlock 1.76) does not help.
Let me mention also that I have the identical problem if I try to login using FireFox 24.7 ESR, but a test install of FireFox 42 allows me to complete my login OK, and I have the same adblocker installed over there, and the 'poseidon' prefix is present.
The whole reason that I am using Pale Moon is that I DON'T wish to use FireFox anymore, due to their new UI and plenty of other reasons.
Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't tell me that I have to go back !

Re: GMX webmail interface
Hello.. Been a fan of PM since I discovered it only last year, and currently use it now as my main browser. I decided to go ahead a create an account because I'm also having this problem with mail.com. The workaround removing part of the url does the trick. What I find odd, is, I've had other issues with mail.com as well. For some reason, when I go to reply sometime, I also get an error that HTML won't load..? I actually don't send email from it anymore so it wasn't a big deal and logging in to read works fine (Could be something I'm doing wrong also since I don't see other members mention of this).
Anyways, glad to join the community and PM has been fantastic for my needs.
