Sites not completely loading (v25+v26)

I've been reading up and down in the forum to see if I can find any answers but have not so here goes...

Problem: Some sites refuse to load and others (like facebook) require multiple refresh hits before they display properly. Most sites come in just fine, though.

Operating system: win7 Pro
Browser version: 26.0.3 (x86) (but had same problem with 25.8.1 which I was using until today when I upgraded)
32-bit or 64-bit?: My not very fast HP ProDesk 405 system is 64 bit but I've only used Pale Moon x86 versions of PM - which is 32 bit, right?
Problem URL: facebook is bad but so are a bunch of other sites, too many (I fear) to include a list
Theme: vanilla - the way PM comes without doing anything
Installed add-ons: none
Installed plugins: (about:plugins) none

What I think is happening is that the CSS code is being ignored by PM since the pages display as if there is no CSS or HTML beyond generic settings for H1 or P calls. Hitting refresh once or twice usually solves the problem.

A possible part of the problem - I am using an older version of Flash but I do not know how to tell you which version. (handholding welcomed!)

When this problem originally cropped up I went to the PM forum and followed the instructions found on the "What to do when a website doesn't recognize Pale Moon" entry. This doesn't seem to make a difference.

This is continued from IRC where it seemed like your connection to IRC from the web client was also interrupted when using Firefox, which would make this purely a networking issue unrelated to the browser. We may still be able to help you solve that, though.

Go to your list of plugins in add-ons manager to see this. (Pale Moon button > "Add-ons" or "about:addons" in browser URL address bar will get you there )
