I used this user agent and got in but can only use the mobile site.
yahoo is garbage, glad I migrated all my important logins to something else that isnt yahoo..

once logged in I can change the agent to "f*** you" and refresh the page for the regular layout

Starting in June 2025, Comcast will begin moving all comcast.net email accounts to Yahoo Mail.

seems they already caught on to the mobile agent. I'm so glad I got out of that garbage. I only check back because I have friends that message me there

Most likely answer: attempt at advanced fingerprinting/telemetry. Since it's in an "analytics" thing, I'd say 99% likely.
This kind of WebGL stuff is also often not available on limited hardware, so what are they expecting? "To login to Yahoo you must have a gaming machine"?

I dont think its really the issue, thats all I seen in the error console. I will dig a bit deeper.
They have A BOATLOAD of 3rd parties right now too.
I have webgl disabled too, but with a clean profile it made no difference so I'm leaving it disabled. (thats my personal choice, not for everyone)

Blaming UA feels like hooking a big red herring.

W10x64 and W11 here and Yahoo works for me without adding/modifying any UA. Classic (maybe older?) Mail loads with 1x mail.yahoo + 16x yahoo cookies, inc. EuConsent.

A hosts file of 5.6MB guards the front door (SB is Steven Black's), Pale Moon has UbO enabled but only blocking the Ad. at the top of the list + ηMatrix doing any other blocking.

I only enable images in emails occas.

As of right now there are 5 people here with Comcast emails.
So far none have been transferred to Yahoo.

I tried the host file @satrow referred to with a very strange effect.
I lost all internet until I reversed it. None of the 10 browsers (mostly portables) would connect.
I haven't used a hosts file in many years now.

I have Comcast as my ISP and also a Comcast email account. So far, I have not been transferred to Yahoo Mail. I might add and this is conjecture, if Comcast transfers all of their customer's email accounts to Yahoo Mail, there will be a "firestorm" of nasty complaints.

The old adage of "shooting one's self in both feet, rear end and the head" comes to mind and this is a way of a company committing economic business suicide.
