Will the Check for updates command work (in the future) with my currently installed AVX2 build by Nuck-TH? Right now it says there are no updates available.
Or is it best to download Pale Moon 33.3.0 as a new install and then copy over my Profiles folder.

The mainline builds have transitioned to AVX, not AVX2.
Nuck's builds aren't ready yet - they are always released with a delay! If you are on AVX2, you will get an update when it's ready and published.
As for the upgrade path, if you are on Nuck's AVX builds at the moment you will want to install the mainline build yourself. I purposefully did not force transitions between mainline and community builds.

Okay,
I think I would like to switch to the mainline Pale Moon, just because, so will download the install file for 33.3.0 64-bit and go from there.
Btw, congrats on the MAJOR upgrade!
Okay, I see what you mean about AVX vs AVX2.

I was under the impression that Nuck-TH would "switch" releases with mainline and only release SSE-2 from now on? Meaning, no further AVX2 updates?

I don't think he'll stop building AVX2.
Prior to 33.3, Nuck would build AVX and AVX2
After 33.3, Nuck builds SSE2 and AVX2
At least that is what I have understood of what was told.
