Dragging RSS feeds in bookmarks bar

Unread post by Pentium4User » 2024-07-24, 18:22

Operating system: Debian Unstable
Browser version: 33.2.1 GKT3 AVX2
32-bit or 64-bit browser?: amd64

Hello!

I can't drag RSS feeds in the bookmark toolbar to another position. Works fine for normal bookmarks.

How can they be dragged properly?

kind regards

I just tested this and it works fine. Make sure you are dragging the folder, not the individual RSS items.

It doesn't work. I can drag it just a really short time, then it goes back to the original position.

I've tried that with a fresh profile with the AVX2 GTK3 Linux builds on Fedora and can reproduce it.

Ah. I tried a GTK3 Linux version on OL8 and I can see what you mean there. It doesn't behave like normal drag&drop for live bookmarks, for some reason.
It seems to be the case for all bookmarks folders when dragging in the toolbar in the UI, including manually created ones and special folders like "most visited".

As a workaround, you can open the "Bookmarks toolbar" folder in the bookmarks menu and drag the entries around there.

EDIT: Issue #1968 created.
