How to get rid of "close tab" arrow on right side of tab bar?
I'm not able to remove this with the "customize" option. How can this arrow be removed?

Re: How to get rid of "close tab" arrow on right side of tab bar?
Minor puzzle how OP David-RL managed to get stuck with "close tab" arrow on right side of tab bar set in the first place?
That tab setting isn't how Pale Moon's Tab Bar is configured 'out-of-the-box' (tab close buttons are on RH side each individual tab)... nor is it available from the App Menu Button (aka 'Pale Moon button' top left) among the standard Preferences > Tabs options list?
So, unless OP had opened up 'about:config' at some earlier time... and deliberately altered the 'browser.tabs.closeButtons' preference setting... which seems rather unlikely... then the only other possibility is that an extension must have altered, or allowed altering, of that preference setting? Previous or current use of Tab Mix Plus or a similar tab control Addon maybe?
Preference 'browser.tabs.closeButtons' altered to 'user set integer 3' = Display a single close button at the end of the tab strip
BTW - Tab Close button position options are also available via Pale Moon Commander:
Tab Close button options in 'User Interface > Tabs' including 'Show tab close button on the end of the tab strip'

Correct, browser.tabs.closeButtons has not been altered from default.
I checked after seeing your post and it was tabmixplus. I'm currently seeing what setting might explain the arrow.
