So I was playing around with NPAPI, and stumbled upon this interesting plugin for *nix named MozPlugger. It basically allows external programs like PDF viewers to be opened inside the browser window instead of an external one, which I think is cool. No more having to use pdf.js, nor do I have to use an outdated NPAPI plugin. I can just use my favorite PDF reader Atril, integrated inside Pale Moon.
But looks like it was too good to be true. The NPAPI plugin for some reason crashes while I view a PDF. It will work the first time, but refreshing the PDF? Nope, crash. And worse, it also brings down the browser with it! If I remember correctly, that shouldn't happen if the plugin container process is enabled, which it is here (and always will be anyway, see my post at viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28728#p231293). This is definitely a bug in the plugin, but should it also be considered a bug in the browser considering the browser crashes as well? Here's the output btw when I start Pale Moon in a terminal and get it to crash:
EDIT: I can also get it to crash in a fresh profile, with only the three MozPlugger plugins enabled.
