Middle click loads last closed tab
Clicking with middle mouse button off a link loads the last closed tab contents into the current tab. It is very annoying, because if you try to open a link in a new tab and accidentally miss the link, you get something you don't need at all. Is it possible to change this behavior?
OS: Linux 64bit (OpenSUSE15.3)
Browser version: Currently 31.0.0 (GTK2), but I observed it in previous versions.

Re: Middle click loads last closed tab
Mine does not do anything at all unless I manage to hit the link, in which case it opens the link in a new tab as expected. Do you have any Tab extensions enabled possibly?lashkevi wrote: ↑2022-05-27, 21:17Clicking with middle mouse button off a link loads the last closed tab contents into the current tab. TabMixPlus, but I haven't find any option like this there.

Hi,
The important words in the OP post are :
In Linux, middle-click pastes the primary X-selection.
If it happens to be a valid link, PM opens that link.
AFAICT PM is doing so since I'm using it, years ago.
I agree that it's somehow annoying !
FYI, I just verified, FF91 ESR doesn't do that.

Oh you are right, once I copy a link on my Linux system then middle-clicking in Pale Moon causes that link to open immediately. Looks like this mystery is probably solved.patrick-g wrote: ↑2022-05-28, 09:59Hi,

Re: Middle click loads last closed tab
It seems that you are right. If I copy an address to the clipboard by highlighting it with the mouse, it is loaded when I middle click on a page off a link. Otherwise not. It explains why the Zoom tabs reload so often in this way. Because Zoom copies its page address to the clipboard, when opening a conference.patrick-g wrote: ↑2022-05-28, 09:59Hi,

Re: Middle click loads last closed tab
middlemouse.contentLoadURL isn't provided by an extension, it's a core preference.
On Windows/Mac it defaults to false, on Linux, it defaults to true because of historical preferences for UNIXes with the primary buffer.
