Since v. 28.0 appeared (and I downloaded it), the entire Pale Moon screen below the menu bars is almost transparent, and non-responsive to clicks in the page display area. The menu buttons react to clicks as though they are working properly, but I have no way of knowing. I waited for another update after the first occurrence, and tried again, with the same result.

My system is a Dell Inspiron i7 laptop with Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit (SP 1). The video card is an Invidia GeForce GT 555M, driver version 331.65, 3072 MB dedicated video memory. I've used Pale Moon for several years and have been delighted with it, until now. Currently I'm having to resort to using Firefox. I've had no other such problems with any other program I use. I've not changed video cards, or any other component in my computer.

Please advise. A screen shot is attached.

Any change if you restart in Safe Mode?

Are you using any tools to change your window decorations or behavior? It looks like this is a case of "making things glass" gone overboard. With the milestone rendering engine changes, it's quite possible you need to adjust your settings in such a tool.

Thanks for your replies.
I do get a screen in Safe Mode, but lose lots of functionality, of course.

As far as I know, I have no tools to enhance or change the appearance of Windows at all. Give an example or two of such tools, please.

HashColouredTabs, coloring... so I'd think a possibility there.

(Separately, Plugins...)

Do you really need all of them?
Anything "MS" or Windows or Google for that matter.
QuickTime has long since been deprecated. Is it actually of any use for you?
(And then some I'm unfamiliar with.)

The screen is no longer blank! I removed the bottom five Extensions on the list I posted earlier, and permanently disabled most of the Extensions on the list. I don't know which of the Extensions was the problem -- I did not remove them one at a time and test after each removal.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions, guys! I'm now a happy camper.
