Passwords xml transfer

Unread post by 55trucker » 2018-04-19, 02:49

Hello:

is there any reason to suspect an issue when attempting to transfer ones saved passwords from a 32bit browser to a 64bit browser?

I cannot seem to get it done, I've installed a 64bit Win7 op/sys, the old 86 is coming out but before it comes down I need to complete the browser transfers.

I'm working with version 27.8 in both cases.

Copying the entire contents of the default profile folder from one to the other is complete with the exception of this.

Using a passwords back up tool is not working either. The xml of the x86 can be created but the x64 will not import the file.

There should be no issue copying the entire profile across from the 32-bit to the 64-bit machine, especially if the version of Pale Moon is use is equal.

You can use e.g. the Pale Moon profile backup tool, transfer the .pmbackup file to the new machine, and restore it.
