Not getting any flickering here. Could you post a link to the specific page used for your screencast example?

I clicked on your link using 64n bit linux Pale Moon 27.6.2 running in 64 bit linux Mint 18.2 (Sonya) Xfce and I do not have any flickering at all and that includes scrolling all the way down the page to the bottom. I do not have an account there so I cannot log in.

The computer I'm using to access the site is an old 2010 desktop tower computer with a processor speed of 2.80 and it has 16 GB of memory. And I'm using the generic linux graphics display driver (xserver-xorg-video-nouveau Version 1:1.0.012-1build2) instead of my recommended linux Nvidia driver which would be Version (340.102). I've never had any problems on any site using the generic linux graphics driver so this is the reason why I've never installed the Nvidia driver for my very old Nvidia GT 220 graphics card.

What graphics card and driver for it are you using?

I forgot to say that this problem don't start immediately, but after a min or so. It happens in every page I visit in the website, after a min or so.
I'm using NVIDIA GeForce GT 220.

I was on Sonic News site for about 4 minutes and in all that time, there was no flickering and I clicked on some of the buttons there (Games, Media) when on the site. Result was no problems anywhere.

I'm gathering you're having a compositor issue (especially on a 9800 GT, that's pretty old hardware) in DX11 mode. With the website using a full-page transparent area with their (cpu-intensive) "snow" animation triggering repaints constantly, I'm not really surprised it will flicker on that hardware.

Try the following:
In about:config, find layers.prefer-d3d9 and set it to "true", then restart the browser.
If no joy, try disabling hardware acceleration in Options -> advanced

The first option with the about:config, eliminated the website background (Which have the "snow" animation). This solved the problem.
