Videos don't play in New Facebook Design - but in the Old

Since a few days I get switched to the New design on Facebook. I still can and do switch back to the old for 48 hours each time, but for how long that option remains, is questionable. The new design doesn't play any videos, though. Every video looks like in the attached screenshot. Switched back to the old FB desigh the very same videos play with no problems.

Videos works for me but are other things that don't work. Still I haven't tried on a fresh profile or without adblockers enabled because the old design is still available.

Videos play fine on the new design here. Remove old user agent overrides, if any. Also check your extensions. They often interfere so try Safe Mode first.

All functions/buttons are ok for you?
On mine side the "Activity journal" button is missing.
On chat settings if I set the presence "invisible" then Pale Moon hangs due to some script
If I made a post on my timeline I can't see the post. Only If I quit and relogin I can see the new post.

If you mean "Activity log", yes it works normally. No buttons missing. There is no 'Invisible' status, I assume you mean Active status. Both on/off works as expected. It is slowish (using an old PC) but it works.

Yes it's about "activity log" and "status". Thanks for the information. Good to know is working for you. Now I must dig to see why it's happening to me.

I really find it annoying that Facebook videos will not play in Pale Moon (anything related to Firefox at any level). YouTube and other videos play with no problem. The instructional videos at FindAGrave.com don't play either but I have not need them for years now. I've tried al the suggestions. The only thing that works is to use any Chromium based browser for Facebook, but that gets old fast. I wish some of you programmer types can get this sorted out, I really like Pale Moon otherwise.

Create a separate issue for that and please provide links to the offending videos if you do that.

They still don't play (version 28.16.) I don't use adblockers. I don't use the Facebook Chat, so I can't say anything about it. I use Fluff Busting Purity (Grease Monkey) to actually HIDE a lot of unnecessary for me buttons and functions on Facebook. I have done so for ages also on the old design. Facebook videos were playing fine with and without FBP enabled in the old design, they don't play at all with and without FBP enabled in the new design.
